A NOTE FROM OUR PASTOR
I’m New Here - A Note from the Pastor
Please let me be the first to welcome you to First Presbyterian Church in Winneconne! Whether you are a longtime member, a first-time guest, or simply exploring churches in the area, I am glad that you have decided to learn more about this congregation and our mission to share God’s love and shine God’s light together. I hope you will consider joining us for worship on Sunday morning at 8:30 AM.
As the pastor, I want you to know a little bit about the people you will encounter here. We are certainly not perfect people. Indeed, we know that we are people in much need of a savior. And yet, we do our best to love and serve one another as we seek to love and serve the Lord our God. In weekly worship, we pray together, sing together, and offer peace and forgiveness to one another, but we also laugh together and share our joys and concerns with one another. We choose welcome and embrace opportunities to welcome friends, neighbors, and guests into our community of faith. We, therefore, hope and pray that you will come and worship with us.
Blessings,
Rev. Emily

Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve.

Presbyterians affirm that God comes to us with grace and love in the person of Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose for us so that we might have eternal and abundant life in him. As Christ’s disciples, called to ministry in his name, we seek to continue his mission of teaching the truth, feeding the hungry, healing the broken, and welcoming strangers. God sends the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, giving us the energy, intelligence, imagination, and love to be Christ’s faithful disciples in the world.

More than two million people call the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) their spiritual home. Worshiping in 10,000 Presbyterian congregations throughout the United States, they engage the communities in which they live and serve with God’s love.
